The project aims to find out about job opportunities for young people across Europe, emphasizing on the importance of school to obtain the required qualifications. The intention is to strengthen the awareness of the participants to the skills required by several jobs throughout Europe, in order to raise students’ connection to school, reducing early school dropout, encouraging access to further education and, eventually, improve their employability and mobility in the future.
The project will promote team work, interdisciplinary and transnational work, using foreign languages, mostly English, via ICT resources. Thus the acceptance of different working styles, different languages, different cultures, different regions and different economical and social backgrounds should develop and improve the students’ and teachers’ understanding of the EU citizenship concept.
Throughout this project, the participants will identify the unique characteristics of each region or city, learning about its natural and cultural heritage while getting in touch with jobs, professions and crafts, relating them to the geographic specificities of the areas involved. The information collected will be published at the end of the project in the form of job identification cards, with data such as job description, required skills or remuneration.
